LURES GARRICK

The Garrick (Leervis / Leerfish) is the undisputed king of South African inshore predators – lightning-fast, acrobatic, and famous for bone-jarring topwater strikes that make every session unforgettable. Our Garrick Lures collection is purpose-built to unlock the full potential of this legendary gamefish, whether you’re casting from rocky ledges, pounding surf, or quiet estuaries.
Handcrafted with South African conditions in mind, each lure combines proven action, superior materials, and fish-attracting details that consistently outproduce generic options.
Why Anglers Choose Garrick Lures:

Explosive Topwater Action – Our needlefish plugs and poppers create irresistible surface commotion during feeding frenzies, warmer months, or low-light conditions. Walk-the-dog, pop, or slash retrieves trigger heart-stopping follows and crashes.
Long-Distance Casting – Streamlined spoons and weighted designs cut through wind and reach beyond the breakers where big Garrick patrol white water and gullies.
Versatile Subsurface Performance – Jerk minnows and bucktail jigs offer erratic darting or pulsing action for murky water, sardine-season chaos, or when fish hold deeper.
Built Tough for Hard Fights – Reinforced bodies, razor-sharp corrosion-resistant hooks, and durable finishes stand up to Garrick’s powerful runs and headshakes.
Proven Colors & Sizes – From bright attractor patterns for dirty water to natural sardine mimics for clear conditions – sizes range from 40g–120g+ to match your setup and target trophy fish.

Best Techniques & Conditions:

Topwater plugs → Dawn/dusk, flat seas, active surface feeding.
Spoons → Heavy surf, distance casting, fast retrieve.
Jerkbaits & soft plastics → Twitch-pause or steady wind in estuaries/harbours.
Bucktails → Bounced along structure or white water.

Thousands of South African anglers rely on these lures during peak seasons because they simply catch more Garrick – from schoolies to double-digit monsters. Don’t settle for ordinary tackle when the “Lady of the Sea” demands the best.
